We also wish to convey our deepest and most profound condolences to the families and survivors of the cowardly attack at Kuta. We completely understand your worryness over the safety in Bali. However, bombs were only exploded in Legian Street – Kuta and in Hayam Wuruk Street – Denpasar. They are only two very tiny parts of this island. All over Bali is now in a very deep sadness, but it doesn’t mean that all parts of this island are insecure. Bali consists of 9 regencies, and the two bombing areas may only the dots within.
Daily routines are still carried out as usual in all over the island. People still do their daily activities. Even in Kuta, closely to the bombing areas, the activities definitely go back to normal. Students go to schools; officers go to offices, banks still open, vendors keep open their stalls and so forth. The business in cities still goes normally, while in rural areas far away from hustle and bustle, the farmers keep working in the farms. Shortly, life goes on, even that the mourning flags are flied in all over the island.
Especially in the tourism areas, the security is tigthened. The safety of tourists is put forward. The Police and army departments supported by Pecalang (the traditional security unit) and the local people do the best effort for the safety and peacefulness. The security in every hotel is also tightened by the hotel security and the police. All of the people in this island have a strong commitment to unite against anything that try to disturb Bali, including the tourism activities.
Bali is only a victim of a well-planned terorist attack, but why some countries issue travel bans over Bali. Don’t you think that it seems like put Bali in a guilty side. Don’t you know that Bali is the most sufferrer of this tragedy?
If you experience being in Bali after the blast, your heart might be touched. You would see the people of different religions, ethnics and even countries, united to help the casualties. They donate anything they have and do anything they could to help the casulaties. Some prayers of condolences were also held in almost all parts of the island.
Therefore, if you plan to come to Bali on the next February/March, please don’t get doubt, cause the situation remains quite and stable now.
Bali really need a support from a people like you by keep trusting Bali and keep coming to Bali. DO NOT LET THE TERRORISM WIN !!!!
