Dear Gede Sanat Kumara,
I am shocked and saddened that anyone could write a letter accusing Ibu Wayan
and her staff of such an awful deed. I do not know what the real purpose of
writing a accusation such as this could be. I only know that it could not
possibly be true.
I and my family have stayed many times at Madam Wayan's Alam Indah and Keban
Indah. It is the favorite spot of my daughter, in the travel industry; my
son, a ranch manager; and my husband and myself, retired. If I was asked to
describe paradise, I would think of Alam Indah. If I was asked to describe
good, honest, beautiful people, I would think of Madam Wayan and the Alam
Indah staff. Their is not a place in the rest of the world where I feel
more safe and protected.
Here is an example of Madam Wayan's honesty and trusting manner. On our
first visit to Bali, my husband lost his billfold while at a ceremony in
Ubud. He was carrying all of our credit cards and most of our cash. We had
been staying at Alam Indah for several weeks and had no way to pay. Madam
Wayan told us not to worry at all and not to spoil our vacation. She said
we could send her a check, or however we wished to handle the matter when we
returned to Colorado. She and her staff would not cheat anyone, let alone
The accusation is absurd. Please tell me how I can help clear the name of
Ibu Wayan and her people.
